Unidata's role

Provide data transfer capabilities for real time data
Provide data visualisation (IDV)
Assist in format conversions (to netCDF) and advocate for the use of a common format

Current Activities

Attended AON PI Meeting in Palisades, NY

Demonstrated the IDV to the meeting and worked "hands on" with the PI's in break out groups
Gained valuable insight as to how the PI's would like to manage, view, and share their data

Continue to work with the very heterogeneous data and provide tools/documentation to transition them into netCDF using CF (Climate and Forecast) conventions
Investigate how IDV "bundle technology" may get incorporated into the data portal
