I want to second what Ryan said and thank Michael for all the hard work he does Brian Bernard ________________________________ From: awips2-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <awips2-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> on behalf of Ryan Hickman <ryan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: April 25, 2016 2:26 PM To: mjames@xxxxxxxx Cc: awips2-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; gembud@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [awips2-users] [gembud] CAVE 16.1.4 released for Windows Will we be seeing a 16.1.4 OS X client soon? I'll certainly be upgrading my server for Windows users who wish to use 16.1.4 but I'd also hope us OS X users are able to take advantage of the new version soon enough, despite still being able to use 15.1.3 on a 16.1.4 server. Thanks for all you do, Michael. On Mon, Apr 25, 2016 at 5:55 PM, <mjames@xxxxxxxx<mailto:mjames@xxxxxxxx>> wrote: This happens if you're connecting a 16.1 client to a 15.1 server. I will be updating the linux repo to 16.1.4 today so you can then update your server then. The second link above is from a new AWIPS User Manual that was recently published, with more comprehensive documentation (though it's still a work in progress). I will be updating the Linux repo from 15.1.3 to 16.1.4 this week. It should be noted that 16.1.4 clients require a 16.1.4 server to work properly, but other old/new configurations will be fine: 15.1 client -> 15.1 server = OK 15.1 client -> 16.1 server = OK 16.1 client -> 16.1 server = OK 16.1 client -> 15.1 server = NOT OK As always, please send support requests to support-awips@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:support-awips@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Bug reports can be filed at https://github.com/Unidata/awips2/issues Michael James Unidata Program Center Boulder, CO _______________________________________________ gembud mailing list gembud@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:gembud@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> For list information or to unsubscribe, visit: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/ _______________________________________________ gembud mailing list gembud@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:gembud@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> For list information or to unsubscribe, visit: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/
