[cf-satellite] Coordinate variables - center vs. corner of the pixel

NOTE: The cf-satellite mailing list is no longer active. The list archives are made available for historical reasons.

I'm wondering if there is a standard for center vs. corner when writing
the coordinate variables for latitude/longitude or projection x/y of
satellite imagery for netCDF? GeoTIFF supports both conventions. HDF
appears to specify the UL corner of the pixel. Has anyone settled on a
convention for netCDF or CF Metadata in general?

Thanks,

-gail
