CONDUIT Data users,

On Nov 6, 2007, GRIB2 versions of GFS 1.0 and 2.5 degree data will be
added to CONDUIT. A two week overlap with the existing GRIB1 data files
will be maintained.

On Nov 20, 2007, the GRIB1 versions of GFS 1.0 and 2.5 degree data will
be
removed from CONDUIT.

The data files affected are the GFS files gfs.tHHz.pgrbf*  where "*"
represents:

anl, 00 through 180: 1.0 degree grid #003
192 through 384: 2.5 degree grid #002

The GRIB2 versions of these files are available on the NCEP ftp server
and have the
same files names with the ".grib2" appended to the above.

This change does not affect the 0.5 degree grid #004 data already
available on CONDUIT in GRIB2 format ( eg the "pgrb2f" files rather than
the "pgrbf" as above).

Reminder: The NAM awip3d files are currently being sent in both GRIB1
and GRIB2 format. The duplicate GRIB1 data will be removed on Oct 30,
2007.
