Greetings, There will be a disruption of service for users of Unidata managed TDS instances tomorrow, December 1st, beginning at 8:00 AM MST and lasting up to 8:00 PM MST. This disruption is similar to the one experienced on November 10th, only longer in duration. Our main demonstration server, thredds.ucar.edu, will have access to a backup generator during this period of time, and should remain up during the twelve hour window. In the event that thredds.ucar.edu becomes unavailable, our cloud demonstration server thredds-jetstream.unidata.ucar.edu is a near clone (but a shorter window of available products). thredds-jumbo.unidata.ucar.edu, thredds-test.unidata.ucar.edu and thredds-dev.unidata.ucar.edu will be unavailable during the entire twelve hour window. GOES 16 products served via the TDS are unique to these servers, and will not be accessible via TDS services; general access to these data will still be possible via AWS S3: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/publicsector/accessing-noaas-goes-r-series-satellite-weather-imagery-data-on-aws/ Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. ---Official Notice--- SCHEDULED OUTAGE NOTIFICATION The Foothills campus will be powered down on December 1st. * This event will be identical to the power down experienced on November 10th, but longer. * Generator power distribution will be available for FL2-2076, FL2-3095 * FL0-0110 will be offline during this event due to unavailable cooling plant in FL2 * The final Generator testing date has not been scheduled (Likely to be December 15th or 22nd) * FL0, FL1, FL3 Facilities utility feeds will remain unaffected. * Only essential personnel will be allowed on campus during the maintenance window * Be aware that weather reports indicate a winter storm possible on Friday night, please plan accordingly. Please note that invasive maintenance operations always incur an increased risk of infrastructure failures or unplanned events. We will make every effort to insure the planned outage goes as planned. ISGB will be onsite and providing maintenance status updates to stakeholders via, notifier, and ENS, as necessary. System administrators are advised to verify your subscriptions and contact information is up to date. START: Sat Dec 1 2018 8:00 AM MST DURATION: 12 hours </ Official Notice> Cheers, Sean
