I'm going to finish with a bald statement - I think the only hope for WCS is to restrict its scope. The scope can always expand later if the case is proven by real systems. Best wishes, Jon
Or more likely Google will come out with its Geodata API (a real product that they are working on), and like kml it will be fast, simple and easy to use, and like kml blow everything else out of the water.
