look this up but the help pages only include errors to
-8. Here is what I have:

GRDAREA  = 30;-105;40;-90
PROJ     = CED
KXKY     = 1330;1290

RADTIM   = current
RADDUR   = 15

RADMODE  = pc
SATFIL   = rad_YYYYMMDD_HHNN
COMPRESS = no

First off, I have no idea how you are supposed to
determine the KXKY values...the ones above are copied
from an example.  2) Does it matter where I run this
program from?  When I run it:

[NEX2GINI 4]  Write image 050227/1901
Error writing header:  -11
Parameters requested:
GRDAREA,PROJ,KXKY,CPYFIL,GFUNC,RADTIM,RADDUR,RADFRQ,
STNFIL,RADMODE,SATFIL,COMPRESS.

I also tried running gdradr, it core dumps, although
it also writes out a file.  If I try to load this file
in nmap, it's a blank image, with /0000 at the bottom
and 1 big blank color bar on the left (black).

I've checked and my nexrad.tbl is in the right
location, my radar images are located in
$RAD/NIDS/AMA/N0R, using amarillo as an example.  I
tried both lower case n0r and N0R (not sure it cares).

Anyhow, nothing will work.  I appreciate it,
