Robert and Neil,

Actually, GPVAD just plots the NVW nexrad III product.

If I understand Neil's intent, he's asking to dump the values out
to a file for ingestion to a model- which would be more like a decoder to
an upper air file.

Anybody know if its possible to extract the VAD wind data from NEXRAD
LEVELIII files?

Would like to end up with them in gempak format, but our primary intent
is to incorporate them into model runs. Any suggestions? Anyone have
this scripted up already?
