Neil I have the GEMPAK 5.11.4 executables built for Windows under Cygwin. In the GEMPAK5.11.4/os/cygwin/lib/ look at the gemlib.a file using nm as follows: nm gemlib.a | grep -i gg_maps 00000000 T _gg_maps_ U _gg_maps_ You should see the correct number of underscores before and after. If it is not exactly like this, check your compiler options in config/Makeinc.darwin. You have the -fno-second-underscore set.
