Re: [gembud] Scientific Linux 6 and the Gempak 6.10 binary RPM

Check for the xorg-x11-fonts-75dpi package. Also verify that you have the
xbitmaps, libXp-devel packages. Maybe also the xorg-x11-fonts-misc, but try it
beforehand as I don't know if the last one is necessary.

Subject: [gembud] Scientific Linux 6 and the Gempak 6.10 binary RPM

I installed the RPM successfully, but then had to add openmotif-devel to make
it semi-happy. OK, easy to troubleshoot, no problem.

Now, when I try to run nsharp, though, and load I see the following hard
shutdown error:
[gerry@ceilo ~]$ nsharp
loading clo tables.....
finished reading tables!
Resource File: /usr/local/gempak/GEMPAK6.10/resource/Nsharp
Warning: Cannot convert string
"-adobe-times-bold-r-normal-*-18-180-75-75-p-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
Serial number of failed request: 2405
Current serial number in output stream: 2407

I understand I appear to be missing some of the adobe fonts. Does anyone have a
handy fix for this, though?

THanks, gerry
