The latest Integrated Data Viewer (IDV) release (1.3b2) is now available for download. Please see the IDV homepage: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv for information on downloading and using the IDV. Although this is labeled a beta release, it is actually a stable release candidate for the final 1.3 release (due in June). The one thing that is not finalized in this release is the user documentation. This release incorporates new features and bug fixes since the 1.2 release including: User Interface Changes - New Navigation Panel - New DataSource Properties Widget Display Changes - New Charting Facility - New Multi-Display Control - New Transect Display - Improved Data Probe - New Volume Rendering Control - Better Animation Controls - Sharing Groups - View Manager Properties - Better color scale handling - In-Display labels Data Changes - Grid Subsetting - Observations Subsetting Other Changes - Images can be saved to PNG and Animated GIF format. - Image Generation - Performance enhancements Bug Fixes - Various and sundry bug fixes For details, please see the Release Notes: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/ReleaseNotes.html for more information on these changes.
