Ok I understand and It must help but my input data is all from WRF in netcdf and is choppy in files per hours and have a lot of variables so when I pick the sum over time steps it says to me that I need to pick a field. My issue is how can I select one variable per hour to do the accumulation. -----Original Message----- From: Tom Whittaker [mailto:whittaker@xxxxxxxx] Sent: martes, 01 de junio de 2010 11:18 a.m. To: Luis Del Castillo Cc: idvusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [idvusers] precipitation accumulation Luis -- There is a formula that will sum a time series of grids. After you Choose your data, in the Field Selector, click "Formulas" in the Data Source column. Then in the Fields column, pick Grids -> Time Steps -> Sum over time steps. Then pick an appropriate Display, and click "Create Display". See if that helps... tom On Tue, Jun 1, 2010 at 11:06 AM, Luis Del Castillo <luis.delcastillo@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi fellows am interested to know if there is a way to do a precipitation > accumulation using a WRF forecast in IDV. > > thanks > > > > Luis Alejandro Del Castillo Riley > > luis.delcastillo@xxxxxxxxxxxx > > Soporte de Tecnología / IT Support > > CATHALAC > > www.cathalac.org > > Tel: (507)317-3235 (directo) > > Tel: (507)317-3200 (Central Telefónica) > > Fax: (507)317-3299 > > 111 Ciudad del Saber, Clayton, Panamá > > Apartado 0843-03102, Panamá > > > > _______________________________________________ > idvusers mailing list > idvusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > For list information, to unsubscribe, visit: > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/ > -- Tom Whittaker University of Wisconsin-Madison Space Science & Engineering Center (SSEC) Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) 1225 W.
