Hi Michael, I had a similar problem on some older machines running Windows XP after upgrading from 2.9u2 to 2.9u3; there was an incompatibility with the video card driver and the new software. It was suggested that I update the video card driver, but downgrading to the previous one worked wonders for me. Right-click my computer on the desktop and click manage. When this window opens, click Device Manager and double-click your Display Adapter to have the option to either update or roll-back your driver. I'm not sure which direction you should go, but I'd definitely check the video card driver first. I have tried to install the advertised v3_0 and while it installs OK - it won't run - all I get is a blank DOS screen fleetingly. Same with v3_0u1 - is it just me? V2_9u3 is still working by the way. ________________________________________________________ Michael Hewson PhD candidate Climate Research Group | Centre for Spatial Environmental Research The University of Queensland | Brisbane Q 4072 | Australia m.hewson@xxxxxxxxx<mailto:m.hewson@xxxxxxxxx> | +61 (0)408 379 373
