Hi Brendon-If you right click on the grid in the Data Sources column of the Field Selector, select the "Write Local grid" menu. That will prompt you for a file name, then it will allow you to select fields you want to save. I believe it will also subset by region and time if you have any of those options set in the Data Source properties (but don't quote me on that).
If you are saving data from a Display Control, you can only save off the data that is in that display (usually one variable).

IDV Users, In previous versions of IDV, I recall being able to export multiple variables to a single netCDF file. For example, attached is metadata from a netCDF file (generated by ncdump -h > ncdumpfile.txt). The netCDF file was generated Fall 2013. However, in 5.2, I seem to only be able to export one variable at a time (see newncdumpfile.txt). Was there a change in the netCDF writer embedded in IDV with a newer version? What is the correct method of exporting multiple variables in view to netCDF?
