Hi, This is a quick note to let everyone know that we will begin making all GOES-17 products available starting this Sunday, January 6. (GOES-17 is scheduled to assume the role of GOES-West next during the week of January 7.) Initial availability will be via the following data services: LDM/IDD:: Feed: SATELLITE (known as DIFAX LDM versions up to 6.13.6) Upstreams relays: idd.unidata.ucar.edu iddb.unidata.ucar.edu TDS:: Servers: thredds.ucar.edu thredds-test.unidata.ucar.edu McIDAS ADDE:: Dataset groups: RTGOESR, EAST - GOES-East/16 ABI imagery and GLM lightning products RTGOESS, WEST - GOES-West/17 ABI imagery and GLM lightning products ADDE Servers: adde.ucar.edu atm.ucar.edu lead.unidata.ucar.edu adde.ssec.wisc.edu (future) LDM/IDD users PLEASE NOTE: - LDM/IDD volume in THE SATELLITE (aka DIFAX) feed will about double from an average of 6 GB/hour to 12 GB/hour Peaks data volumes for each satellite are 8.3 GB/hour and 7.8 GB/hour for GOES-East/16 and GOES-West/17, respectively. Given the increase in data volume, sites already REQUESTing all of the SATELLITE feed may want to modify their LDM configuration file REQUEST(s) to limit the data they get if they are not interested in receiving some/all of the GOES-17 products. -
