sunshine and unidata.ssec.wisc.edu changes

Hello all, 

This only pertains to ldm users who feed from:
sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu 
and/or 
unidata.ssec.wisc.edu
----------------------------------------------

sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu 

and 

unidata.ssec.wisc.edu 

will be changing their IP's on November 15th. We are not certain of the
exact time of the change.

DNS appears to be running at least 6 hours behind on catching up with the
new IP's.

We suggest adding a duplicate request to the new IP(s) for the duration of
November 15th. This will cause much additional logging as there will be
many "Non-existent host/domain" errors when attempting to connect to the
new IP's until they are activated, and then the same for the domain names,
until DNS propogates the name change with the new IP...So the watch words
are..watch your logs and be ready to comment out the new requests.

The new IP's are:


sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu
128.104.108.55



unidata.ssec.wisc.edu
128.104.108.58


When you can enter from your prompt:

nslookup 128.104.108.55

and get sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu

and/or enter from your prompt: nslookup 128.104.108.58

and get unidata.ssec.wisc.edu 

then it is appropriate to comment out the IP requests and continue with
your standard fully qualified domain request.

Again, this only pertains to ldm users who feed from
sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu and/or unidata.ssec.wisc.edu
