Re: Redhat 7.3 bugfix

I have used logging with Solaris for quite some time
and have never noticed a problem..but ext2 is
certainly very fast and I suppose that relatively speaking
ext3 does extract quite a penalty.  

I would strongly recommend ext3 or some other Linux
journaling file system for your non data partitions.

I have never had corrupted files or lost file systems
after power failures under Solaris UFS+logging, but I know
that certainly does happen under ext2.

Thanks. With all those files to keep track of on the disk, I can see why 
it slows it down!
