Unidata FNEXRAD and THREDDS Users:

motherlode.ucar.edu has experienced two crashes in the last few months
due to a problem with its main system board.  motherlode is the machine
on which the FNEXRAD datastream NEXRAD Level III radar composites
are created and injected into the IDD.  motherlode is also a primary
THREDDS server (McIDAS ADDE and OpenDAP (aka DODS)).

Sun field service is scheduled to replace the faulty components Monday
December 1, 2003.  Please be advised to expect about 1 hour downtime
for this repair.  Unfortunately, we can not be specific about exactly
when the downtime will occur.
