Dear LDM user, LDM 6.5.0 is now available for download from the LDM homepage at <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm>. Its new features include: * Modifications to the pqact(1) utility that allow it to begin processing exactly where it left off in the previous LDM session. * Safer (if slower) termination of the LDM system by the command "ldmadmin stop" or "ldmadmin restart". * Addition of an "include" capability to the LDM configuration-file. * Addition of a "-log" option to the FILE and STDIOFILE actions of the pqact(1) configuration-file. This option causes the product-identifier and output pathname to be logged at the NOTICE level. * An increase in the number of arguments in a PIPE command from 15 to 2048. * Addition of a "-i" option to pqinsert(1) to allow computation of the MD5 signature based on the product's identifier rather than the product's data. For more information, see the file CHANGE_LOG in the top-level source-directory or visit <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm/ldm-6.5.0/release-notes.html>. Because the new version includes numerous bug fixes (as well as new features) you are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this new version -- especially if you haven't upgraded in quite some time. As always, we are happy to install the LDM system for you if you will grant us root access to your system. As always, send all support inquires to <support-ldm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>. Regards, Steve Emmerson LDM Developer
