Richard,Well... The latest version of the LDM package has a "pqinsert" utility that has a "-i" option. This option tells "pqinsert" to compute the MD5 signature from the (hopefully unique) product-identifier of the data-product rather than from the data of the data-product. Because the default product-identifier is, in fact, the pathname of the file... Will this suffice?
