We are looking to recover NCEP NAM grid 221 files (preferably in grib2 format) as far back as July 4, 2008. 

Description:   ## NAM awip32 or nam 221 grib2 files 32km resolution
Regional - NOAMHI - High Resolution North American Master Grid (Lambert Conformal) 32.46341 km 
  http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/docs/on388/tableb.html#GRID221
The policy at NOMADS and NCDC is to keep the real-time for only 24 hours; reanalysis files are kept for a long-term period. It is the real-time 3-hr forecast tm00.grib2 files that we hope to find cached, maybe at your site.
