Hey Jeff,

 

Not sure whether this data is available via the LDM feed. but it is publicly
available in the IDV.

 

Data Choosers -> Images

Server: satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov

Dataset: PUB

Image Type: GEFDSK04I4

 

The IDV is more flexible than GEMPAK in that you can more easily view
satellite images in various projections (similar to McIDAS).

 

You can automate a process to generate the latest Full Disk image using an
XIDV bundle and an ISL script.

Greetings ..

quick question 

Is there a way to get full GOES East with-out using the NHEM Composite ??

EAST-CONUS just doesn't have the Tropical Atlantic 

coverage like WEST-CONUS does for the Pacific..

 

Are the Satellite AREA files in Univ of Wisc any better on coverage??
