Howdy! We have a pqsurf problem we've been attempting to solve without much luck. Our goal is to split out mesonet metars into individual files to store in a database. Mesonet data is available in the EXP feed. Tailing the pqsurf.log file as mesonet data arrives shows that the appropriate file is being read by pqsurf, but the FILE action is not working. We have tried a number of combinations. The current ldmd.conf and pqsurf.conf entries follow: EXEC "pqsurf -v -f WMO -l /usr/local/ldm/var/logs/pqsurf.log -q /usr/local/ldm/var/queues/ldm.pq -Q /usr/local/ldm/var/queues/pqsurf.pq -p ^S(A....|P....|XUS8.|XUS91|AEM31|AFR..)" EXEC "pqsurf -v -f EXP -l /usr/local/ldm/var/logs/pqsurf.log -q /usr/local/ldm/var/queues/ldm.pq -Q /usr/local/ldm/var/queues/pqsurf.pq -p (TX.TTUmeso) /usr/local/ldm/etc/pqsurf.conf_mesonet" EXP ^TX\.TTUmeso([0-3][0-9])([0-2][0-9])\.mtr FILE /data/text/metars/(\3:yyyy)(\3:mm)\2\3.\1.metar EXP ^TX\.TTUmeso([0-3][0-9])([0-2][0-9])\.mtr EXEC /usr/local/ldm/scripts/metar.pl(\3:yyyy)(\3:mm)\2\3.\1.metar We are using pqsurf successfully to split out WMO metars. Here's a sample of our pqsurf log file when mesonet data arrives: Jan 23 21:10:05 pqsurf[9714] INFO: 4235 20120123211005.395 EXP 000 TX.TTUmeso232105.mtr Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 75 20120123211005.395 EXP 001 metar XARS 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 75 20120123211005.395 EXP 002 metar XAMH 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 72 20120123211005.395 EXP 003 metar XANS 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 72 20120123211005.395 EXP 004 metar XAOS 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 75 20120123211005.395 EXP 005 metar XASR 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 72 20120123211005.395 EXP 006 metar XBI1 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 75 20120123211005.395 EXP 007 metar XBWS 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 75 20120123211005.395 EXP 008 metar XCXS 232110 Jan 23 21:10:05 pqact[9719] INFO: 75 20120123211005.395 EXP 009 metar XCES 232110 We were hoping it's just a pattern matching problem. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks! Bruce -- Bruce Haynie, NW5S Electronic Systems Analyst National Weather Service Lubbock, TX Bruce.Haynie@xxxxxxxx
