[ldm-users] Configure Error

Installing LDM on CentOS 6.3 with either rsyslog or syslog-ng daemon
reports the following error

checking system logging daemon PID file... /var/run/syslogd.pid
checking networking references...
checking for system logging daemon... semget: No such file or directory
semop: Invalid argument
semget: No such file or directory
semop: Invalid argument
configure: error: system logging daemon not running


I verified rsyslog is running
[root@ldm ldm]# /sbin/service  rsyslog status
rsyslogd (pid  14844) is running...
