Short answer, no, I don't believe so, at least not with the package and protocol as is. It uses unencrypted RPC. Some sort of secure channel could be set up between two sites, and then LDM run on top of that secure channel, but otherwise, not natively. The data that it is designed to transmit is largely publicly available data, so protecting the contents thereof isn't given much consideration. Would the goal be to: 1. Get through a firewall that blocks non-secure traffic? 2. Comply with some sort of policy that all communications must be secure? 3. Ensure the contents of the datastream remain secure? 4. Other?
