Subject: Area number not valid

Hi Tom,

I know I have had this problem before, and it was something I did wrong, but I
can't remember the fix. I set up some datasets to remap MTS imagery into:

NZWF/VIS IMAGE AREA 5000-5009
NZWF/WIR IMAGE AREA 5020-5029
NZWF/WIR2 IMAGE AREA 5050-5059
NZWF/WLC IMAGE AREA 5040-5049
NZWF/WVIS IMAGE AREA 5010-5019
NZWF/WWV IMAGE AREA 5030-5039

I made sure there was a valid redirect:

AREA5* /usr2/areafiles

However I can't remap anything into this dataset unless I specify a specific
placeholder..i.e.

This does not work:

/usr2/config/scripts/mcidas% imgremap.k MTS/MTSHEM04I2 NZWF/WIR LAT=-44.72
-169.25 RES=4 SIZE=4000 4000 PRO=MERC
Beginning Image Data transfer, bytes= 29092
Beginning Image Data transfer, bytes= 3422588
imgremap.k: transformations complete ... begin data move
imgremap.k: Area number not valid
imgremap.k: Failed to open connection to put destination image
/usr2/config/scripts/mcidas%

But this does:

/usr2/config/scripts/mcidas% imgremap.k MTS/MTSHEM04I2 NZWF/WIR.4 LAT=-44.72
-169.25 RES=4 SIZE=4000 4000 PRO=MERC
Beginning Image Data transfer, bytes= 29092
Beginning Image Data transfer, bytes= 3422588
imgremap.k: transformations complete ... begin data move
Transferring AREA data outbound, bytes= 16000928
IMGREMAP: Done...
/usr2/config/scripts/mcidas%

I just did something similar to this with METEOSAT imagery last year and did
not have these issues.

Thanks,
Robert Mullenax
