Howdy all! I'm getting to know dimension scales a bit, and looking at this document: http://hdf.ncsa.uiuc.edu/RFC/H5DimScales/H5dimscale_Specification_1_0.pdf I see the following: Convert dataset to scale (D) . convert dataset D to a dimension scale.
