Hi,

Adding the following line

:_Netcdf4Dimid = 4; // int

to our netcdf data files causes nc_open() to not open the file. I tried both 
netcdf4 and netcdf4.1 and none worked. We do not have this problem with the 
Java version of the netcdf libraries. I can send you a sample if I get your 
response.
