Hi Dan:

Do you want to try our "release candidate" that should fix these problems?  If 
so, I would be grateful for any feedback on it. We probably wont do an official 
release for another week or so.

Its at ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/thredds/3.9/thredds.war.

The NcML docs have been updated to reflect the changes i needed to make:
