NetCDF/OpenDAP/NcML/THREDDS enthusiasts: Many of you know that the ToolsUI GUI (the NetCDF 4.0 Tools App) is a super useful tool for debugging, quick browsing and mapping of data from NetCDF, NcML, OpenDAP URLs and more. If you haven't seen it, it's available via http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf-java/ and you can start it via the command or as a Java webstart application. For those of you who have wondered about what all those tabs do in the ToolsUI GUI (and since there is no user's manual) we captured a WebEx recording of John Caron giving a demo of the features he uses most often. The demo is about 40 minutes, and can be viewed with the WebEx Recorder on Mac & Windows. WebEx recording: http://coast-enviro.er.usgs.gov/models/share/toolsUI.wrf (46 MB) WebEx Player (free download): http://www.webex.com/downloadplayer.html I learned a lot from the demo. -- thanks John! -Rich -- Dr. Richard P.
