Brian,The Java implmentation of the DAP is not under active development. It is available through our subversion server here:
http://scm.opendap.org/svn/trunk/Java-OPeNDAP/ It is available for public checkout: svn co http://scm.opendap.org/svn/trunk/Java-OPeNDAP/If in your endeavors you find that you can improve it we would be happy to look at including your changes/updates.
