Brian, > I have NetCDF on my workstation and need to do some validation on > a PC. How can I get a PC version of the system? Do you have to > mail it to me? It does not look like there is a Makefile method > for generating PC executables from the TAR file. It is possible to build a PC version of the netCDF libraries and executables using the "msoft.mk" Makefiles provided with the distribution, provided you have Microsoft compiler(s). The instructions are at the end of the INSTALL file in the top-level of the netCDF directories. If you only need a compiled library and the NCDUMP and NCGEN executables for MSDOS 5, you can FTP prebuilt versions of these directly from the directory pub/netcdf/msdos/ on the host unidata.ucar.edu. --Russ
