The application > basically appends data to the end of an existing netCDF file that >... ncattput problem..solved with ncsync I have experienced this problem (no error, subsequent successful reads, but fails to go to disk) frequently over the last year. I have been unable to produce a test case, however, and have relied on ncsync'ing at a number of spots in my code in order to get around the problem. I have also seen the exact saem thing happen to variable data using ncvarput1. Another strange feature is that with my same code, if I link it with netcdf2.3 (from spring 1993) the ncsyncs are unnecesary, while they are absolutely necessary with 2.3.2 (from 4th qtr 1993), we havent tested the problem under the newest revision. If this is a bug in cdf, it would be nice to find it ... -- bcl blincoln@xxxxxxxxxx ---------------------- SSESCO: (612) 342-0003 ----------------------
