Hi, I have just installed the netCDF library 3.1a on a Linux PC (version 2.0) and on a Alpha (OSF1 V3.2, ALSO NOT IN THE LIST OF SUPPORTED PLATFORMS). And it works just fine. I played arround with the new functions, and I think that they are a big improvement (THANKS). I haven't tested if it is faster. On the Dec Alpha I had to use gcc (version 2.7.2.1), because the cc compiler complained about a floating-point domain error... Best regards, Richard PS. are there any plans to support building a (optional) shared netCDF-library? With gcc it is straight forward (atleast on a Linux, IRIX ----- /==================================================================\ | Richard M. van Hees | email : R.M.vanHees@xxxxxxxxxx | | p/a IMAU | phone : +31 (0)30 2532978 | | Princetonplein 5 | fax : +31 (0)30 2543163 | | NL-3584 CC Utrecht | room : 669 | | The Netherlands | | \==================================================================/
