Re: Fortran and Attribute Strings

Jim -- Do you know which 'python-netCDF processor' was used to generate
your dataset?  There are several.  I wrote one of them (the nc module)
and I believe I handle string attributes by creating the attribute
with a length equal to that of the string (without any null termination).
You can, however, create an attribute of a certain length and then put a
shorter string in it.  In this case it will fill with nulls.
