Announcing a (beta) release of NetCDF Java (version 2).

The NetCDF Java Library (Version 2) is a Java interface to NetCDF
files.  It is built on the MultiArray (version 2) package, which is a
stand-alone Java package for multidimensional arrays of primitive types.
Also included in this library is an experimental NetCDF interface to
files that are accessed through a DODS server.

The library is composed of three packages, ucar.nc2, ucar.nc2.dods, and
ucar.ma2.  The implementation uses some of the code from the earlier
NetCDF Java (version 1), but the API is distinct and logically
seperate.  

This is version 0.9 beta: please give us any input about the API by
March 1, 2001. After that we will freeze the API into the "official"
version 1.0.

get support is in the netcdf-java mailing list.
