NetCDF library in Universal Binary for Mac OS X

Hello all,

With the switch towards Intel processors by Apple I wanted to have my
Cocoa application as an universal binary, e.g. let it run both
natively on PPC and Intel.

I don't yet have access to an Intel-based Mac, so I was wondering if
there was some way to compile NetCDF for Intel on a PPC Mac. Has
anyone been able to compile NetCDF on Mac OS X (Intel) yet? Or can
point me towards how to compile for Intel with gcc on a PPC Mac?

Once I have the netcdf.a for Intel, I need to figure out how to link
the universal library with both the PPC and Intel netcdf.a. If anyone
has some ideas on that... but perhaps that question will be more
appropriate for another list.
