Hi,

Sun recently acknowledged a compiler bug that's tripped by 64-bit
compilation of ncdump on x86 platforms.  Currently there are only 2
votes to fix this bug.  More votes for it would probably increase the
chances of getting it fixed in the next release.

To vote for fixing the bug requires about 4 minutes:

  1. Create a Sun online account at

       http://reg.sun.com/register

  2. Vote for fixing the bug at

       http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6865404

     for which you will need to login to the Sun online account you
     just created.

Here's your chance to do some netCDF community service, when you have a
few minutes to spare.
