Hi All: I am trying to get nco-4.0.8 to run on CentOS 5.8. I have followed the instructions at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/nco/forums/forum/9830/topic/4089501 Everything builds but then when I go: /usr/local/nco-4.0.8/bin/ncks -O -4 -D 1 --cnk_dmn lat,16 --cnk_dmn lon,16 BA2010274_2010304_ssta.nc test.nc ncks: CONVENTION File "Conventions" attribute is "COARDS, CF-1.0, Unidata Dataset Discovery v1.0, CWHDF" ncks: ERROR Requested netCDF4-format output file but NCO was not built with netCDF4 support ncks: HINT: Obtain or build a netCDF4-enabled version of NCO. Try, e.g., ./configure --enable-netcdf4 ...;make;make install I have tried to configure with both --enable-netcdf4 and --enable-netcdf-4 - same results. My netcdf4 shows netcdf4 there (looking at nc-config) . Does anyone have a working version that I can install on CentOS 5.8, or have an idea how to overcome this, Not the libraries and include per instructions above are explicitly included in the configure flags. I am sort of at a loss.
