Tom, 1) Yes, The file - along with many others - is located at: https://modave.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/modave/cdat_data/ 2) Tons of - OK... a few - examples are in: https://modave.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/modave/cdat_tests/ The example related to the one on the web site is: mpirun -np 2 python testEsmf3DSalinity.pyBut any of the testEsmf3D*.py should help and don't need to be run with mpi.

All that being said, I think ncl has also a quite nice implementation of ESMF but I am not sure if they have fully implemented it yet.
