[netcdfgroup] Cannot find nf-config

I downloaded netcdf-4.2.1.tar.gz from the ftp site, configured it with
./configure –prefix=/usr/local, made it, and installed it.  However, the
program that I built this for, GEOS-Chem, requires nf-config.  I see
nc-config is installed in /usr/local/bin, but not nf-config.  How do I go
about getting nf-config?
