Hi Jim,
        I'm using the latest code from the HDF5 subversion repo, here:

http://svn.hdfgroup.uiuc.edu/hdf5/branches/hdf5_1_8/

        And the latest code from the netCDF-4 git repo, here:

https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf-c

        I'm also using OpenMPI, v1.7.3.
