Hi Joe: My plan is to continue to support pure-Java reading of both netCDF-4 and HDF-5 (and to expand that functionality), and leave the writing to you ;^) I dont know what Steve Sullivan's plans are for Nujan, but I know that he's left NCAR. Last update appears to be 2012-04-06.
