Dear all, I am wondering if the netCDF4-python API supports HDF5 compression filters, as the netCDF-C API does. I was given a compressed netCDF file and the corresponding compression filter library to uncompress it. Ncdump has been able to read the data after installing the filter, but I am having problems to do it from the python interface. The netcdf4 python module was installed with pip using the nc-config from the netCDF installation capable of uncompressing. Accessing a compressed variable returns a Segmentation fault. Is there a particular way to open compressed files? Are user-defined compression filters supported? Thanks!
