Dear Yuichiro, I installed netcdf-c with icx and netcdf-fortran with ifx recently, on both AMD and Intel CPUs running linux, and they both went smoothly. Looking back at my notes, I used CFLAGS='-O3 -g -fPIC -fp-model strict -xHost' in both cases, and there were no errors. -Sourish > On Sep 19, 2024, at 7:55 AM, HAGIHARA Yuichiro <yu.hagihara@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > [External email - use caution] > > > Hello all, > > It's been a while since Intel announced that they would deprecate > their fortran compiler, Intel Fortran Classic (ifort), > in November 2023 (and discontinue it at the end of this year), > and move to a new compiler, ifx. > > I'm not sure whether I should install ifort or ifx when using > netcdf-fortran on my new computer (OS: Alma linux 9.4). > > Has anyone successfully installed the latest versions of netcdf-c > and netcdf-fortran (along with zlib and HDF5, if necessary) > using ifx on linux? > > I would be grateful for any advice. > > Best, > Yuichiro > > -- > HAGIHARA Yuichiro // yu.hagihara@xxxxxxxxx > > _______________________________________________ > NOTE: All exchanges posted to Unidata maintained email lists are > recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and made publicly > available through the web.
