Dear NOAAPORT user,

Version 1.7.1 of the Unidata NOAAPORT package is now available from the
NOAAPORT package's homepage,
<http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/noaaport/>.

The major advance with this version is the addition of the program
"noaaportIngester". This program is a merging of the two programs
"dvbs_multicast" and "readnoaaport" into a single, multi-threaded
program in order to improve performance due to the lighter context
switching. The two original programs are, nevertheless, still included
in the package. The new program also has better statistics reporting.

The build and installation procedures for this package are now based on
automake(1) -- just like the Unidata LDM package. Please be sure to
follow the new instructions.
