FrCorrection to previous message:
The data outage is for GOES-10 imaging and sounding from 0930 UTC to
1029 UTC.
Full message follows. Sorry for the inconvenience.

--------------------------------------

All users of GOES-10 data:

We have been advised by NESDIS/SOCC that the GOES-10 spacecraft will be
affected by a lunar shadow on January 24, 2001. During the affected
period, the satellite must be placed into eclipse configuration. As a
result, there will be NO GOES-10 imaging or sounding scan operations from
0930 UTC to 1029 UTC.

In support of the GOES-10 outage, the GOES-8 spacecraft will provide Full
Disk scans from 0915 UTC through 1044 UTC.

GOES-10 will resume the routine schedule at 1030 UTC.

GOES-8 will have a lunar shadow on January 24 and 25, but it will not
require eclipse configuration.
