783 NOUS72 KNCF 051708 ADMNCF PLEASE PASS TO MIC, HIC, ESA, ITO, AND SOO ~ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION PERTAINS TO AN UPCOMING GOES-WEST SATELLITE MANUEVER: GOES-10 E/W Maneuver 08/06/03 - Issued 07/31/03 Topic: GOES-10 East/West Maneuver August 6, 2003 Message Issued: July 31, 2003, 1115 UTC Satellites Impacted: GOES-10 and GOES-12 Products Impacted: GOES-10 Imager and Sounder Data and GOES-12 Imager Data Date/Time of Initial Impact: August 6, 2003 0920 UTC -------------------------- Details: A GOES-10 East-West Station Keeping maneuver will be performed on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 0931 UTC. For National Weather Service operations: The backup date for this maneuver is Friday, August 8, 2003. If the NWS regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301-763-8298) at least 6.5 hours prior to the maneuver time. On August 6, the following exclusive schedule will be employed to support maneuver operations: (*PLEASE NOTE the scheduled GOES-12 Full Disk scan period to support the primary GOES-10 outage during the maneuver.*) GOES-10 Maneuver Schedule starts at 0251 UTC on August 6, 2003. GOES-10 Southern Hemisphere scan at 0252 UTC is canceled.
