Topic: GOES-12 North/South Maneuver December 16, 2003 Message Issued: December 2, 2003, 1635 UTC Satellites Impacted: GOES-10 and GOES-12 Products Impacted: GOES-12 Imager and Sounder Data and GOES-10 Imager Data Date/Time of Initial Impact: December 16, 2003 1545 UTC -------------------------- Details: A GOES-12 North/South Station Keeping maneuver will be performed on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at 1720 UTC. For National Weather Service operations: The backup date for this maneuver is Thursday, December 18, 2003. If the NWS regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301-763-8298) at least 6.5 hours prior to the maneuver time. On December 16, the following exclusive schedule will be employed to support maneuver operations: (*PLEASE NOTE the scheduled GOES-10 Full Disk scan period to support the primary GOES-12 outage during the maneuver.*) GOES-12 Maneuver Schedule starts at 1105 UTC on December 16, 2003. GOES-12 Southern Hemisphere scan at 1109 UTC is canceled.

From 1545 UTC through 1644 UTC -- GOES-12 Full Disk Imaging and
Soundings.
