Topic: GOES-12 Sounder Satellite Data Degraded Image Problem Message Issued: 01/10/2006, 0450 UTC Satellites Impacted: GOES-12 Sounder Products Impacted: GOES-12 Sounder images, products, etc... Date/Time of Initial Impact: 01/09/2005, 1846 UTC Details: We experienced a GOES-12 Sounder data degraded image problem. Reason: SOCC reports satellite problems. Resolution :SOCC reported that the command filter winder was failing and a supplementary power winder was turned on to
provide extra power to the unit.
